Two Hip Chicks




The Chicks It all began 2010…..The Year of the Big 4-0!!!! DeShanna turns 40! DeShanna was a woman who had it all and had it all together….A wonderful husband, two terrific kids and a life that others would envy. But something was missing…something just for her. She turned 40 and began to wonder if this was all life had to offer….OF COURSE NOT!!! So off she went to find her passion. She began to research what it was she wanted and what it was she wanted to create. Her passion was her home. Home Décor and accessories was a natural fit for her new endeavor. She wanted to launch her business but didn’t want to do it alone. Enter….Shannon! Shannon was another 40 year old who was praying that God would give her a new and exciting path for her life. She was a mother of two and had a fabulous husband who had a successful restaurant in Norman. Her family life was terrific and all was well…but she knew that God had more waiting for her…something just for her. One Hip Chick recruits another Hip Chick! DeShanna came to Shannon with an idea…one that was a perfect fit for both. Unique and custom home décor for a fun loving and “hip” client. Shannon was on board. After months of Diet Coke fueled work sessions and countless hours of painting and creating…We launched Two Hip Chicks on March 7, 2010. We have been going 90 to nothin’ ever since. We’ve had a lot of laughs, tears, flat tires on trailers, ham sandwiches, late nights, crying kids, fights with our husbands, brilliant ideas, not so brilliant ideas, cocktails, more laughs, nervous tummies and joy in this fantastic new chapter of our lives!!!!! Thanks to all the gang!!! Our kids have become like brother and sister ….fighting and laughing along the way. They have joined us on this crazy new journey…like it or not. I guess it doesn’t hurt that we’ve dangled Disneyworld in front of them like a carrot if they help us. Thanks kids for putting up with your not so “normal” moms. And we can’t forget the two most important people in our lives….The Two Hip Dudes….our husbands…Greg and Chris. We love you guys and wouldn’t have been able to do any of this without you. You ROCK!!!! And kudos to our favorite employee…Bob Sanders. He’s our perpetual employee of the month!!!! Most of all we want to thank God for bringing us together and giving us so many wonderful blessings!!! Much Love to all our friends and family who have supported us and this fabulous new adventure!
